How do I care for my Susan Stone Design (SSD) pottery?

SSD is safe to put in the dishwasher, but hand-washing is best.

Is SSD pottery dishwasher safe?
It is dishwasher, microwave and of course, food safe.

How long does it take to make a mug?
From start to finish (if it is the only thing I have to make), it takes about 2 weeks. Once it is thrown and a handle added, it must dry slowly and be fired twice. Each firing takes about 24 hours.

What hours are you open?
I work out of my home studio and do not keep business hours. Because of COVID-19, I am not opening the studio to appointments. However, about twice a year, I host an outdoor studio sale.

Where can I purchase Susan Stone Design ceramics?
At this time, you may purchase SSD online and from a selection of fine retail shops.

Do you ship?
Absolutely! I have been shipping my pottery for years and can say, I’m serious about packing everything carefully. I use new boxes, paper, bubble wrap and bio-degradable packing peanuts.

Do you ship internationally?
Because of the high cost of shipping pottery internationally, I rarely do it, but will consider it. Contact me if you are interested in shipping internationally.

What happens if pottery is damaged or missing in your shipment?
As soon as you realize that something is broken or missing, please notify me. I want to fix whatever is not right!

Do you do custom orders?
Not at this time.

Do you sell wholesale?
Yes! If you are a shop interested in carrying Susan Stone Design, please contact me.
